My emerson flatscreen that was manufactured in august 07 wont turn on or anything all that there is is a red blinking standby light. TV wasnt dropped or anything. PLEASE HELP I LOVE MY TV Watching my daughter's 17 in HELP

I wasn't clear the first time the standby blinks red several times and then fades to nothing. The TV itself does nothing. Nothing smells like it's burning or anything. Just doesn't work.

This TV is manufactured by Funai.

I have repaired 1 funai TV... it took 6 weeks to get the part (shipped from china), and I swore I would never work on them again.

It sounds like a main power supply problem. I would guess a switching diode or zener diode, but thats a pretty big guess. I am afraid I don't have any good tips I can share with you.
