It's completely dead. At first it was a 10 step process to turn the tv on. I would push the remote and tv would come on and then turn self off. I would turn tv on again, but no picture and no sound. By the 4th time I turned tv on I would have sound, but no picture. 5th time turn tv on I would get sound and faint pictture. By the 10th time I turned tv on I would have sound picture. Once I finally got tv on, there was no problem. This has been going on for about two weeks, but today when I turned the tv on the 10 step process did not work. The power light comes on indicating that the tv is on, then I hear a clicking sound and then nothing. The power on light remains on.

Hello, and welcome to the RiddledTV forums.

I'd recommend having it repaired unless your itching for a new TV. Does this current TV have all the features you'd want? New TVs are pretty cheap these days, but they aren't made to last like the TVs of yesteryear.

If your looking for specific help, and can wield a soldering iron: I would replace capacitor 2455 (47uf/25v)
