Which 100ufd/160V (C419? C821? or C822?)?
Are ALL the "buttons" on the CRT neck circuit back at their initial settings?
If so, try swapping C543 on the CRT board.
Otherwise see if the various VCC's are within spec. |

It was C821.
I dont know their initial settings. I spent some time to make the best image out of them.
Swapping?
Where do you find stuff like circuit diagram etc. about a tv ?

Like wife-swapping but with electrolytic capacitors.
Pull out the original C543 - obtain preferably exact replacement - install replacement - check for improvement.
You mean you just turned "buttons" willy-nilly to observe the effect, and then hoped you could return them to the SAME starting position? NOT real smart.
For service literature ... on the web. Google is helpful, but expect to have to "sort" through the results. Some sites are "pay," some are "free." If you do this a lot, you soon learn which are which. |

Ok you mean replace, like wife is dead and take a new one. I'll try it.
What is the real smart way to readjust the buttons if you dont know their initial settings?
So did you pay for a site with lots of circuit schemes? In a quick search I didnt find one for my tv. |

Should have marked BEFORE first adjust. Now you'll have to do gray scale adjustment, etc. (as per SM or "generic")
So did I ... at first. Try by chassis number? |
