This TV is approximately 10 years old. It does not get used very often. Went to turn it on, and it will not power on. I unplugged for awhile and plugged back into the wall outlet. Red light on front of TV apprears on for brief time, then goes out. Still unable to power on.

The unit has been great. Excellent picture, excellent color.

Any suggestions? Would like to attempt repair on my own.

Thanks!!!!

NO RASTER and NO POWER

No Raster:

Is Power indicator Red LED "On"? (DM03) = We'll presume NO

Check diagnosis LED's

Is Red LED "On"? (Protection D912) = Yes / No Question

No, the red light is not on. There is no indication of power on the front of the TV. When I unplug it, and plug it back in, it sounds like the unit is receiving power.

The second two lines requires access to the innards of the set and contains a question about the status of a particular LED (D912) on the inside of the TV.

What part about having to remove the back of the TV to see more LEDs don't you understand?

Bear with me. Laughing If I was an expert, I would not be looking for help on this site. I will take the back off and snoop around as suggested for lights.

THANKS!!!!!
