Hitachi 60" rear projector
Model 60FX32B
Chassis AP62X

Unit was running this morning, was turned off and then about an hour later won't turn on anymore from either the remote or the set itself. Only indications now are quickly flashing red LED on front of unit, two small green quickly flashing LED's on main board inside unit and accompanying quick clicking sound. Unplugged set several times from AC to no avail and currently have unit unplugged.

Any suggestions?

The most common shutdown causes for the AP-5X & AP-6X:
Shorted Horizontal Output
Shorted Vertical Output
Shorted Audio Output

A series of green LEDs are provided to monitor the
condition of specific supply voltage lines:
• +7V (D950)
• +26V (D951)
• +11V (D952)
• -27V (D953)
• +27V (D954)
Unlike the red LED, the green LEDs simply glow
when the monitored supplies are operating
properly, and do not when the supply is missing.

(are these the ones that are flashing?)

After having the set unplugged for over 6 hours, we plugged it back in and it turned on. All functions worked normal and picture was as good as ever.

Turned set off and tried to turn it back on and original trouble condition returned. Opened up front and rear of set and found the following..

+12V green LED on solid
+11V green LED on solid
AUDIO green LED on solid

+27V green LED blinking
-27V green LED blinking
K106? RED LED blinking

Have unplugged set again.

Well, that narrows it down to the Covergence, the Sound, and the vertical circuit. Which isn't really very narrow.

Are there any other symptoms that you could tell me about (when the TV is running)?

No symptoms at all - watched the set for about an hour last night and about an hours this morning. The picture is great, the convergence is bang on with no bleeding of the red, blue or greens and no audio problems.
