I have a 1996 Hitachi 50FX18B rear projector that has recently started to have a distorted picture at the top. The top 2-3 inches are blury and brighter than the rest of the screen. It started several weeks ago and appears to be very slowly getting bigger.
Can someone point me in the correct direction to diagnoce this? Is it worth repairing?
thanks for the site and for the info. |

Here is a picture of my issue. It has been getting smaller in the past several weeks.

1st post states getting bigger, last post says smaller. Which is it?
I'd start with electrolytic capacitors in the vertical deflection circuit. |
