HL-R5067W DLP Customer replaced color wheel because of broken glass
filter, and then the unit would not operate at all other than the blinking
lamp indicator. I found the color wheel flat wire plugged in backwards now
unit will operate but the color looks slightly gassy, Can a weak lamp cause
this problem? There is a white smoke film inside the back bubble of the lamp
element.
Your help would be appreciated.

You probably need to remove the jumper on the DMD module. It is a two pin
plug with a jumper like on a hard drive on the front of the DMD. There is a
slot for this in the shield cover low mid center. The new wheel may not
match the old DMD.

Jumper plug has been removed probably from the last time one was put in 2
years ago. I tried to jump the plug back to factory and the picture is
worse. Any other ideas

The new C/W should have come with a label with the necessary settings for
color and index-was the label still there attached to the L/E? If the
customer did it himself and got into the service menu then you probably have
a mess.
