JVC 55" TV
Model #: JLE55SP4000

In TV mode, there is no sound. When I switch to the Pandora app, sound is normal. I called JVC support and was told they could send a tech to replace the main board...part # 3655-0482-150.

Somewhere I read that the main board for Model # JLE55SP4000B (part # 3655-0682-0395) is a replacement for 3655-0482-150. After receiving the replacement board, I realized that it only has 2 speaker connectors instead of the 3 that are on the original board 3655-0482-150.

Question 1: Is replacing the main board the solution to the no sound problem during TV mode?
Question 2: If the answer to Question 1 is YES, will main board 3655-0682-0395 work in my TV (JLE55SP4000)?
Question 3: If the answer to Question 2 is YES, what (if anything) do I do with the 3rd speaker connector?

Thanks in advance for any and all help!!

Define: TV mode

DTV/Cable/Antenna - RF?
Set the TV Mode in Channel menu.?

Set top box Cable/Satellite - HDMI?

On Viewing Mode screen, select desired TV mode, and then press OK button.?

Since JVC offers a separate Owners Manual download for each model, I'll assume that even they believe there is a substantial DIFFERENCE between the two. (Board part numbers due to features supported would be a good guess.)

My definition of TV mode is a connection to an AT&T Uverse set top box and HDMI. Access to Pandora is via the JVC ICE (Internet Connected Experience) which is a selection on the TV remote.

Does 'AT&T Uverse set top box and HDMI' when connected to another HDMI Input On your set produce sound?

Or better yet ...

Does 'AT&T Uverse set top box and HDMI' when connected to ANOTHER TV's HDMI Input produce sound?

Many thanks to JTS1957!!! The set top box was the problem. I presumed JVC had experienced this no audio problem previously and knew replacing the main circuit board was the solution. I won't make that mistake again.

Best regards,
