Example of a REAR PROJECTION "Picture Tube"
Example of a PROJECTION "Lamp"
Unless you are very much mistaken in your model number, this set should use a lamp. |

would you mind telling us exactly what picture tube part number you installed? Things aren't really lining up yet between what you replaced and the model number you gave us.
specifically, LCD TVs don't have picture tubes... or at least they don't have CRTs.
We can't really help you yet when it doesn't make sense to us yet. |

Yes you are correct excuse my terminology, I installed a bulb inside a black housing. there was also a thermal fuse and harness that goes to that housing i also replaced, along with a power unit whic h runs from the housing to the rear of the television. I still have a constant blinking green light on the lower right side on the tv no picture/ no sound....
thank you in advance....
also the part number for the lamp is SONY XL-2200U(TELEVISION BULB
(PHI/388S)...A1085447ABARE |
