got this for free and have a shadow problem. tried to adj. convergence.should all the lines be able to be adj into the same cross?blue and green will move and line up but red does not move at all, is there more i need to know about adjusting these lines? thanks, tom

That's a convergence problem. You'll have to replace the convergence ICs

It is indeed a convergence problem and should be replaced. Just a reminder don't do it if you are not sure you can do it. Call a service technician instead.

looks like someone replaced the ic before.both of them ,it looks like they replaced some resistors as well, is there a schematic to tell me what they should have been originaly, they are not easily read. the numbers next to these are r 963 r962 r957 r958 r998 r961 they are discolored so i cant make out their colors. i ordered the ic from mcm, should be here by mon. kp41t65 ra 2a. also is there a way to identify cheap ic these have no name just the number. thanks for any reply tom

finally got the parts ,soldered them in. now i cant get the blue to move. any suggestions thanks tom

double check for solder splashes around the chip.

checked my solder job, resoldered 1 spot . now i can move the blue but not all the way . also the screen looks curved top and bottom, still have shadow. any adjustments elsewhere?

well, i dont understand bias resistor,or how to identify one. could you elaborate for me?
