I wish to start a thread about LCD monitors. I have two that when turned on they work for 2-3 min and then no video. Power stays on but no pic. I have not jumped in to them yet, but will soon. I remember fixing a laptop screen once, had to replace the backlite device. I don't remember what it is called. Any one do much repair on these? I am not putting down the make and model as I want this thread to be open to all types of LCD screens. Thanks Ron.

Inverter.

Many defects CAN be make/model specific.
Hard to do research or find service literature without make/model.

You should think in reverse. It should be make/model specific but realize that a lot of the tips/tricks will apply to other types of LCD computer monitors as well.
