i recently bought this tv. when its working properly it works great and the picture is really good for a tv that was made in 1995. but sometimes the picture goes out. still have sound but no picture. sometimes it works all day no problem. other times it doesnt work at all?
i havent found anything for this exact tv. but through my searches i have found alot of things that sound like what my problem is. i am a mechanic but not a tv repair person. i would like to try and fix this beast on my own. but i dont understand all the terms and abreviations. maybe some of yall can help me? or maybe a picture step by step tutorial?
thanks in advance,
Josh |

Check the connections around the vertical IC401 (LA7845)
if it checks out OK, I would replace it. |

its a chip that is attached to a heatsink. on the board it will will have the label IC401. on the chip itself will be the LA7845
if you want to replace it, you'd order an LA7845 |
