Just a foot note for you all.....

Mitsubishi WD-65731 DLP

I changed an optical engine on this mammoth
in the customers home and I was actually
surprised that it was much easier then some
of the previous models...

This was one of the newer...V33 Chassis...

The optical engine was intermittently
not pulsing a " lmp_ena " Lamp Enable
signal out to the digital circuit...

The engine would light the lamp for about
5-8 seconds then shut off and throw off an
error code..For lamp not lighting...

One very important thing about this set is the
way that it fires and communicates...

Connector reference # FB Very easy to get to
Contains a stand-by, Lamp lit, and lamp enabled signal
and others that are crucial to this thing talking in tongues...

If you get one with this problem check this first...
Have the lamp control circuit drawing handy and it will
be a big help.....

Get your " SCOPE " out and do your troubleshooting
Okay I admit you could just use a good fluke meter...

This was the " xHD5 " Engine series...
Copy your data TO and FRO
And the mechanical alignment was minimized by only
loosening A3 and A4 Screw locations...

And the electrical alignment menu contained some improvements
as well... that made it very easy to restore to full factory alignment

You can actually center this thing in either direction one
pixel roll at a time that is how accurate it was...I was impressed..
It was probably not an actual pixel roll size but I will call it that..
