For error code 34, look for missing 5Vdc at J-9 connector (pins 1, 2) on
Engine Driver PCB. If missing may have to replace Power PCB. Should be
part # 930B921002.

I have the same problem, but I have no idea what you are talking about... I want to fix it, I just bought a new bulb, what do I need to do?

I am having the same problem and found the same 2 caps blown and noticed 3rd cap swollen as well ( C9A62), is this a power surge thing or has anyone discovered the root cause for these blown caps?

Manufacturer's greed. "Build it cheaper" mentality. "With the voltage we expect at this point, we should use a 16 volt cap here, but we can save a tenth of a cent if we use a 10 volt." This combined with the power surge you mentioned...

or if you're more of a conspiracy theorist, you could say that the TV will fail that much earlier, and they get to sell more TV sets that way... assuming you would buy the same brand again.
