I am a tech in need of help for a repair for a twenty inch (CRT)Samsung.
NO audio, no video. Turn up G2 control and raster appears. No noise on screen. All voltages in pwr supply appear to be normal according to service manual. No on screen display. Replaced microproccessor TDA9377
no help. O scope patterns seem to be normal in accordance with service manual with the exceptions of Blue, Green and Red output at TDA9377 which would be proper or normal if there is no video. Set was
manufactured in 2005.

Frank,
I looked up the literature and bullitons at samsung. Their electronic literature is for a universal tv and of is little use. There are no bullitons.
That being said, there is a couple of alternatives.
I looked up the main board at Andrews Electronics and the part number is AA94-15294A and they claim it is no longer available. However, go to http://www3.sears.com (parts direct) and look it up via part number. they show it in stock. $113.44. Sometimes it is not worth it if the board is cheap enough.
There are a couple of things that will cause your symptom. Make sure that there is a good vertical feedback pulse at the processor. (I know there is no collapse but no pulse will blank the screen) The other one is there is a sense (IK) line coming from the CRT Drive IC. If the CRT or the IC is bad the Micro will blank the screen but you will still be able to turn up the G2 and see a raster.
Before ordering a board make sure you have a good CRT and a good drive IC.
Hope this Helps

I'll get back to the set tomorrow.... I had to walk away from it for awhile it was driving me nuts. I guess that things are moving so fast in new technology that it keeps passing me by. Just having difficulty trying to keep up. Again thanks for you help. I'll get back to you on what I find.
No reply needed....
