Pincushion problem? I worked on a couple of these a few years back and I thought there was a kit available that had IC750, Q702, R517, etc. I changed IC750, Q702 and R517 and it's still bowed. Don't know what I could be missing. Anyone run into this problem before?

I've heard it mentioned R517 burns up because of a bad CRT socket? Suppose I'll check that next.

Dave, If r517 is open, you may want to check
C524, may be shorted.
Or there is excessive secondary current in the
flyback So Replace the crt socket p/n K31B10CA00042.
ALSO check D409.

Does that set have the small PC board on the right side near the fly? If so
check the caps and the pot.

Yes R517, and check C524, C755., C757, R246 (smd)
