Hi guys,
I have a Philips 37pf7320A/37B in the shop will run anywhere from 20 min - 2 hrs. then shuts off... 5 red led blinks on the front panel.
Need to unplug to turn it back on then same thing.
Downloaded new firmware and flashed it into the unit with no change.
I did some research and it seems these had bad CPU board issues.
Can anyone confirm this or is there something else I should look for? |

Did you check the crystal on the SSB board? Hit it with some heat/freeze to
try and induce the symptom. |

Eric,
Went over the PS board with a fine tooth comb, everything seems ok!
Shuts down after 20 min - 2 hrs then 5 red blinks on the front panel.
Not sure where the crystal is on the SSB. Don't seem to have an SSB,
there is the main PS board, CPU & input board with all the video & audio
jacks,
2 inverter boards and audio/standby board.
SSB is small signal board right? Can you steer me in the right direction? |

Sorry about that.
Thought your's was a 37PF7320 BP2.1UAA Plasma.
The 37PF7329 BL2.1 LCD Service manual is here.

Thanks Eric,
What I thought was called the cpu board is the SSB! This helps allot to
troubleshoot. |
