Philips 50" Rear Projection Tv
Model # 50p8341
Chassis # PTV910 or PTV914
First, I changed the crt fluid in green and blue red looks good but didn't have enough fluid left to get the red so just left it. My problem now is Im getting lines across it jumpy lines the picture looks good but gets blue most the time. When in the back of tv adjusting the blue on the black box not the fucos dial but the one above it helps but seems like the dial doesn't really work its jumpy also kinda like an old am fm tuner dial how it just gets old that's how that dial is really really touchy jumps the color real bright blue and when turned down goes from bright to light blue then back to bright blue... Any Suggestions is greatly appreciated.. Thxs in advance Justin

Read: http://www.riddledtv.com/journal/CRTCoolant/ up to and including step 25 (at least).
Slanted lines ARE retrace.
Black regularly spaced horizontal lines, I'm not sure about. Could be loose connection, bad ground, spilled coolant or something else.
"Fucos" & screen "dials" probably have not had a workout in many, many moons. My suggestion - unplug TV - mark EACH dial - rotate each dial from end to end approx. 10 to 20 times and then reset each to the mark. Repeat for other five controls. |
