Hi, I have a 2.5 yr old DLP TV

Make Philips
Model 50pl9220D/37

Problem: In the last month the picture has become more dim and the colors start flashing a sort of seperate. There is a whinning noise in the back. The vents are always kept clean and TV has not moved since brought it home. The power standby light flashes quick( unit shuts off) then flashes slow as descibed in manual. Any help would be great

Whinning noise usually involves the color wheel. Has the bulb been changed?

I have not changed the bulb. I have ordered one as the bulb light just came on as well.
