Hi

Yes I would like to go ahead with changing the coolant.

I would really appreciate your help.

I am very advanced when it comes to electronics ant TVs.

I have repaired several small CRT TVs, but only 1 projection which was an old Magnavox.

I hope to learn more and more over time.

I still have not received the coolant so can you help me in preparation?

Also the TV is not very old it is a mid 2000 TV.

At this time the CRT assembly has been bolted out but nothing has been disconnected.

Thank you

I have gotten busy again at the business, I will post the instructions as soon as I can. They are fairly long and if not followed, it will cause you much, much, work in the convergence area and a template will have to me made etc etc etc.

TYRE,

I am working on the procedure and I could use a favor from you as I
do not have a unit in the shop at this time and the pictures provided by
the manufacturer are woefully inadequate. I am going to post the
procedure for all to see as this is a very common problem with this brand.

Now, here is what I need you to do.
You seem to have a good camera, could you use high (Bright) lighting and take pictures of:
1: Straight down on one CRT showing all screws.
2: Here's a hard one: Straight up on the underside of the crt showing
the CRT pcb, Velocity modulation coil, Yoke and grounding lugs.
3: A close-up view of the IHVT. (Flyback) This is the transformer that
has three large second anode (red) wires and one smaller White
wire.
4: A view of the Yoke Harness where it plugs in to the circuit board.
There are two sets of three. One large and one small. (deflection
and sub-deflection)

I will Capture these photos using a screen capture and edit them with anotations in the procedure.

I appreciate your patience and you will be rewarded with a great
looking picture.

Jesse

Ironically, I have just repaired a set with the droplet condition you show. I thought you should know that the condition is caused by an ongoing leak in that CRT. Make sure you replace the seal or the leak will probably not go away.
I have taken a bunch of pictures for the procedure and will be posting soon.
