The set came in with a flashing red sparkling picture. You can hear the Y Sus buzzing intermittently when picture flashes.

I replaced the Y Sus (ordered from Andrews Electronics) and also replaced the control board and same problem, no improvement. The set is not under warranty, so now I'm wondering if I should go ahead and order the Y-buffers (upper/lower) LJ41-02760a AND LJ41-02761A, that's if I can find them. Nobody seems to have them in stock?

Anyone have any experiences with this model?

Hi,i've got a Philips plasma doing the same thing.I swapped out the power
supply, control board and a/v input board because they were easy to get to.I
still have the same problem. The picture pulsates with heavy sparkles ,but it
does have sound.I was thinking more like the Z sustain board, but it is very
difficult to remove.

Hi Jim-

Well from what I've been hearing from a couple of other forums is that they think it's the y-buffers (upper and lower) those guys say they always replace all 3 boards (Y-Sus and both buffers). But I'm having a heck of a time finding them anywhere in stock. Everybody is saying 3-4 weeks backorder. Don't know if my customer will be willing to wait or having to invest in 2 more boards?

Anyway I hope we both get some luck on this one!

The sparkling is cause by a missadjusted or drifted alignment of the power supply. Check the DC levels printed on the panel and adjust the power supply to match the levels printed on the panel. The voltages you are looking for are VS,VE,VA,VSET etc etc. The voltage levels must be correct fot the panel to operate correctly.

Have seen many sets of all brands with this symptom.

Hope this helps

Jesse
