Don, what happens when you turn down the screen control on the fly? I just
finished a CTC187CN3, a 32"er. It had a bad 100UF.250 V. cap in the SMPS
circuit gone bad queer display tho. Also some bad solder around the fly and
pin xfmr.

Terry, adjusting the screen controle only darkens the picture, the lines remain. Do you have a location number on that 100mf/250v cap? I dont see any at that value in here.

Terry, I stand corrected, I found that cap and I do not have that value (100mf/250v) in stock. I do have one at 100mf/200v. I guess this will have to wait.

It is located in front of the SMPS transf. It is C4107K on this chassis.

No I'd not use a 200V. it will come back to haunt you. They don't overkill
when they build these things. I also had only a 200V. So I did find a 350V.
on thats a bit overkill but will be OK tho. Have a nice weekend all you
great techs.out there. |

Don follow from pin#6 of flyback to R4701 a 10 ohm resister to Cr4702
diode to C4703 a 47X250 volt cap
you should have 185 volts on that cap if low change it..Eric |

Don, I haven't read all the post on this problem yet,
but don't overlook the eprom. I've had several sets
with retrace lines , sort of looks like a weak crt
only ending up being the eprom. Be blessed, Hilton |

| I am sorry to intrude in your topic, but I am about to retire a GE 35GT695 with a CTC187CN3 chassis because I don't have the circuit schematics. Would someone have it? Or would someone know where I can get it? Thanks! |
