My fiance's father has a a 52 inch RCA 52130 projection television it is a few years old im sure. I was trying to get him set up with Hd channels over the air using a regular vhf/uhf antenna. So far nothing will come up in the channel search Im guessing that its an hd ready tv and needs a set top box, but can find no information on wether or not this is true. Rca does not carry info on the televison anymore and so far forums ive been to arent saying much about the hd capability, just repair issues. . I have a samsung 50 inch dlp projection getting all the HD channels with my regular vhf/uhf antenna so I know we are in a good area to recieve them( he lives right next door to me), of course my tv has a built in tuner though. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Its and HD Ready set. You'll need a separate HD Tuner to receive digital TV. You should be able to receive normal NTSC Analog TV though.
