I have a ave a Panasonic pt-51hx41e Rear projection HDTV and am trying to replace the Green Tube. However, I cannot seem to get the Red thick wires attached to the tubes into the black transformer.

I have removed the black cap on the back, but cannot for the life of me get the red wire out. I have tried twisting, pulling, etc. I just need to figure out how to detach them so I can finish installing it.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

It looks something like this: http://www.riddledtv.com/journal/CRTCoolant/Second_Anode_Lead_removal.jpg

however there is no collar on the wire, it sinks all the way in.

THanks
