I have a Samsung HLP5063 in the shop that intermittently flashes bright red and after warmup the pix has a redish cast in the darker images.Can any Samsung expert can give me a clue on this model. I have the 2003 DLP Samsung guide but nothing on this condition. Anyone have the SM for this model? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Digital video board...a.k.a. DMD board..
Optic engine my friend...
Or just replace the DMD board..
and do the mechanical alignment..
its not as bad as it sounds..
but not as easy as changing optical
engine....I had just changed one about 3 months for
the same exact problem...

Is this warranty..?

Bill...
I would gather an estimate for both options..
and see what the customer wants..
Who knows they may tell you to keep it..
then I would fix it for my self if I were you..

I wish I could get this lucky...
I would have that bad boy fixed in
a few hours fully calibrated ready to rock
in my house...

It looks like the DMD board is in the 700 to 900 dollar neighborhood.
