Have a Samsung HCN653W Projo in the shop that all it
wants to do is power cycle. You plug it in, you can
hear the voltage come up on the CRT's. The unit will
make it's musical sound as if it were going to start
up, then you hear a split second of white noise from
the speakers and it dies out. The CRT's never come to
an ON state. The unit will cycle like this until you
unplug the unit. Checked each CRT by doing a
disconnect and seeing if it made any difference on
each one, no change at all. Changed out convergence
board with no change. When you unplug the unit, you
can hear the High Voltage doing a bleed down from the
CRT's.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Check for burned / open resistors in the convergence section and replace the
convergence. I/C's

Follow your 200volt line to the CRT Boards.

Sounds like one of the TDA???? Amps on one of the
CRT PCB's are bad.

I have repaired this exact problem about two years ago.
