The Samsung tx-p2730 TV (CRT flat screen) seems to be missing the right side or is squeezed. The right edge, when checked with a blue screen and with regular video, shows a strong edge border, almost like it is compacted on that side. Towards the top and bottom of that edge, it curves inward just a very tiny bit. Anyhow, when TV is on (for any inputs) you see about 1 inch (on the right side vertically) as black with no imaging and a super slight inward curve at the top and bottom of that edge. TV works perfectly other than that issue. Any ideas on ic's, resistors, capacitors, or any other possible fix? I think it is a capacitor, but don't know where to check. I don't have a service manual.

Here's some snapshots (Ignore the blur from cell phone pics):

Your 1st posting:

elektrotanya.com MAY have the service manual. Without a COMPLETE CHASSIS number (KS7???), there are too many for me to consider using my 2 DL/day.

IF YOUR TV: Did problem occur all of a sudden? Occur due to a static discharge while attempting to press a button? or As a result of 'accidentally' changing a value in a service menu?

If none of the above, chances are a part (or parts) have failed and set will need to be troubleshot.

The origin of the problem is unknown, but I'm sure it was all of the sudden. I tried messing with the menus and using different inputs. The outcome is the same. If I have to, I will look at chassis later, but the back sticker says KS7A.
