Greetings;

My Samsung UN50EH6000FXZA TV started turning itself off after watching for various length of time about 6 mo. ago. It turns itself on and then off intermittently, but was still watchable.
Then now it turn itself off and cycles on and off repeatedly so fast that it never fully power up; all you hear is the tones of it trying to turn itself on repeatedly. If I unplug TV for a few minutes, it makes no difference; just repeatedly cycles on - off when plugged back in to power.
Power button pressed or not makes no difference.
Please help! I don't want to throw it away if it can be fixed or better yet I can fix it!

Thank you;
Lynn

Go into the customer menu and see where the LED back light intensity is set. I'd bet its at maximum (trust a manufacturer to go for the best picture over the longevity of the LEDs that comprise the back light).

Unplug either end of the Main board to Power/LED Driver board ribbon cable.
LEDs should come on (and stay on). IF they stay on, Main board is likely ... IF screen backlights still cycles On/Off then the Power/LED Driver board, OR MORE LIKELY, one or more LEDs on the strips inside the panel are bad.

Just curious why you suspect the LED drivers for this issue? This sounds to me more like a power or mainboard problem.

It's really a divide and conquer issue.
Samsung has designed the power supply / LED Driver board to operate independently from the Main Board and just turn on the LED drive when connected to AC.
Since the LED drive is essentially just another DC volt supply, if it IS all there, and IF panel LEDs are good, they will light. IF panel lights, then that leaves the Main board as suspect.
