This is a LCD 20" and it will blow F3702 which supplies
B+ to several circuits especially the SMPS, consisting of Q3702,
IC 3701 chopper transf T3701 which seems to be ok. Anyone
run into one of these things before.
PS: Is a isolation transformer required to scope this unit, because
there is a 13 volt DC power supply interfaced between the unit and
the 120volt AC line? (my variac was stolen) |

I have this info for dead set on that model:
Replace F3701 2a Gma Repair Short In Rear Lower Left Corner Were Wire Harness Passes Sharp Edge On Metal Frame

or:
Replaced Terminal Pcb, Has Switch Mode On It - Kb128d

or:
This Unit Came In Dead With F6704 Blown And Q6712 And Q6713 Shorted. These Are On The Inverter B Board Which Is Part Of The Lamp Drive. This Is A Multilayer Board And Both Transistors Are Smd. The Board Was In Stock For Approx. $40 Cost So I Went With It. After Making Sure We Had No Other Problems, Installed Board And Powered Up (Attempted). Set Was Still Dead.
The Power Led Was Red, So Went To Adjustment Process Mode Which Forces The Set On. The "Error No Reset" Count Was At 5. Reset The Error Count To 0. Unit Then Would Power Up Without Forcing It On. This Counts The Lamp Errors And When It Reaches 5 The Micro Turns And Keeps The Units Power Off.

Hope one of them helps you. |

F3702 opens not F3701, F3701 and the rest
of the gma fuses are ok. This "dead set"
info may work for open F3702, but not
for open F3701.
The service manual says these boards are
repairable, if the Terminal Board is
replaceable what supplier carries
this board? And more importantly, how
much? Part #DUNTKB128DE03 TERMINAL UNIT
Thanks for the info |

I'm not sure where you got your part number. The sharp website shows a part number for this model of DUNTKA568DE01 and it is no longer available (no stock) Andrews electronics also shows the same part number for this model.
They show this board as a board swap but this may be difficult as sharp has no boards to swap. Andrews shows a cost of 189.76 + 195.00 core.
You might try PTS at http://www.ptscorp.com as they show it but no price.
Hope this helps
