I am posting for a TV repairman friend of mine. He said this set has a mfg. date of 5/06. The problem is that it starts up then cuts off after about 2 seconds.
Then after about 15 seconds it will start up again and after about 2 more seconds quit. This just keeps repeating. He said there are no code lights blinking.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This set is trying to start but, is missing a pulse or voltage. Not enough info to help more.

I bet you there is cold solder at the startup circutry! Hope this helps!

If this is a Projector unit, the lamp needs replaced....
If it's an LCD Panel TV you'll have to figure out if it's the INVERTER or
the BALANCER board....
I doubt it's the power supply, but I'd have to test it, since it directly
feeds the inverter....

It is most likely the power supply G1 board and there is also a bulliton on this symptom (Power cycles on and off with no error codes = Power supply)
