1. Make & Model Number: sony KDL-46HX800
2. Current symptoms: tv shutting itself off. this happens more often when the tv is in 3d mode. this problem started about a year ago when i first bought the tv and sony warranty technician found no issues and didn't fix anything. some people said to replace the lamp and that didn't fix anything. The problem got progressively worse by the day. it shuts itself off and sometimes turns back on. Tried resetting the memory but that also didn't help. now it's at a point of shutting off every 15-30 min.
3. Any symptoms that led up to the current symptom: 3d glasses also turns off occasionally in 3d mode.

sounds like if they have a record of it failing, and didn't fix it. They should still fix that under warranty.
