Physically "look" at the boards. Thats assuming of course that you have eyes that work Laughing Laughing
Seriously, the identification of the boards is printed on the boards themselves and the component ID's are also printed on the boards.

The "G" board is located on the left side!! (looking from the rear)

Hi, thanks for responding. Looking from the rear I have a large board on the bottom labeled A. no board to the left but there is a vertical bd. off this bd. labeled M. on the left side of this A bd.

My bad!!

I looked it up, there is no G board on this set. Usually only projection units have a G board.

What gave you the idea that there should be a G board and What makes you think that the listed components are bad?

Better yet, give the symptoms you are experiencing and lets go from there.

I'm getting 9 blinks and the set will turn with the service menu code. I have a couple posts that have been answered here and that's where I got the idea on the parts. The G bd. idea came from another forum but no one could helpany further. So right there is not a Gbd. on my unit.

Replace D647.
I had the same set that would not start. LED was blinking 9 times. I could start the TV by entering the self diagnosis mode, Display, 5, Volume Down, Power. Parameter 9, ZCD, was always greater than 000, even after clearing error codes (8, Enter). Changing D647 solved this problem. I used a 1N4937. The Sony part number is 6-500-567-01, Diode, 10ERB20-TA1B2. It's part of the Zero Crossing Detect circuit.

Just wanted to say thanks for this info! My father-in-law has a Sony KV32FS120 that wasn't turning on and showing nine blinks on the timer LED. Searching google lead me to this thread and I was able to fix the tv by replacing D647 and D645. Both measured ok, but I replaced them anyways and now it works again!

Thank you!
