Sony projo KP-46WT520 flashing (9 blinks) pauses and flashing again.
I don't know exactly where to look , everything I check seems good.
Any bad history on this model ?? |

Larry and Gary , I've check those 3 diodes that you talk about , they are good !!!
Only thing I've found so far , is on the AM board/module , many surface mount electrolytics caps with very high ESR , I've just finished changing them , about 15 of them , tv still dead , and flashes 9 times. |

the first time I came across this problem I did a web
search and found all kinds of forums telling diy'ers how
to fix their own sets
I tried changing the parts suggested but could'nt get
the set running
replaced the board and fixed the set
it is about $40 exchange from most suppliers - another
reason I didn't want to spend a lot of time trying to fix it
Larry is correct - the diodes listed are the ones that are
suggested by all the help forums, and it sounds like he's
been having success just replacing them
- I've just been replacing the boards for the above reason
9 blinks is a ZCD error code (zero crossing detection) |

Ok , tv is fixed now , and running good.
I changed the 3 diodes suggested (must have been leaking) , change about 15 caps in AM module , and power on , ok.
nice pic.
Thanks to all for your inputs |
