hi, sometime ago a maintenance person around my complex was trying to fix issues with power supply, shortly thereafter my TV and amplifier went through a very weird sequence of events. Starting with the fact that they could not be turned on without the fan in the room working, to my TV not turning on anymore. My amp survived but my TV did not.

Now when I plug it in and press the power button I get no red lights and no activity at all. (it also does not sound the same as it does not have the same clicking sound when i press the on button too). I am leaning toward the notion that a fuse has been blown and I am hoping that I can verify this, and maybe even change it out myself.

This is a very large TV, and it is not very easy to manipulate and move, but it is an extremely good TV so I don't want to trash it without giving it a try.

Please let me know if any of you know how to find and a repair a fuse for this TV. Alternatively, I would be eager to hear if anyone has any other suggestions for why it might be broken and how else it might be fixed.

Thanks for you time
alvin

How many years (IF "years" is the right word) of actual electronics repair experience do you have?

I used to tinker with electronics as a kid, and during my degree in Physics I did some more work with electronics, but basically I would not say I have nearly no years of repair experience. But I feel confident with the right advice i could fix a minor issue.
