My Sony Trinitron 36" TV model # KV36FV15
I turn the TV on the sound and picture come on after about 10 seconds. Then the picture goes off and on in about 2 second intervales. I turned the power off and tried the Sony online fixes. But nothing works. Sound is good, Picture is good when on, just can't get it to stop going on and off.
Thanks if anybody can help and lead me in the right direction.

Hey Thanks, I had to turn the brightness, and picture down and it seems to work. Picture is a bit dark now, I guess I'll have to play around with it.
Time for a new Set.
Thanks Again. |

it wont last long. You'll have to open it up and turn the screen voltage knob.
I wasn't talking about an onscreen menu setting. |

Last question, When I open the set up where would I find the voltage setting? I was looking for an online manual, no luck.
Thanks, appreciate the help. |

On a sony, I have seen it in two places. Usually it is on the flyback transformer, but occasionally it is on the circuit board attached to the neck of the CRT.
This isn't your model, but it should be similar enough to help you identify those two parts:
