This Sony was dead except it displayed 8 blinks. The problem was a shorted TDA6108JF on the neck / CRT board. The resultant was athe cap and the .47 ohm resister along with the IC, all on the 200 Volt line from the fly. ( forgot the symbol #'s ) but replacing those parts restored the set to operating condition. ( I only had the chassis in the shop ) Tricky one though without being able to see if the chassis would run.
