Hi - I have a Toshiba 20HLV85. If it hasn't been used in a while, I can turn it on and it'll work for a few minutes. Then it'll turn itself off, then on then off, etc. I checked the 24V external power supply and the voltage looks nice and constant, though I didn't check with an oscilloscope.

I opened up the device and nothing seems to be getting warm.

Any ideas? It's so close to being functional that I am assuming it's something small!

I should mention I have reasonable electrical skills and have access to oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, soldering irons, multimeters, etc.

Edit: by the way, I just found service manual and schematic on elektrotanya. Going through them now. The schematics are not like schematics that I'm used to - they're more like block diagrams! Very strange to me!
