the picture appears to be in "negative" - the colours are sort of there- you can see some red and blue but mostly it looks like a poor quality black and white photo - also has some distinct vertical lines down the centre of the screen - sound is good just bad picture - any ideas?

is the picture the same through several different types of inputs?

don't know - only ever had it connected to free to air stations - will try another input tomorrow and let you know

picture is the same on other inputs
tried dvd & vhs on different inputs and the same "negative" "pastel" picture - when i go to an input channel the screen is an even & consistant blue all over - does this rule out convergance as an issue??
