| sounds like its definitely intermittent, you're just going to have to find the bad connection. Resolder everything if all else fails. |

| I resoldered the same 8 wires on the bottom of the main vertical chip and the TV works again. I am not sure what I did wrong the first time. Thanks |

| So the screen warps for a second and then returns to the solid horizontal line in the center. I don't get why it keeps going back to the way it was. this TV is frustrating. I will get that book: 'TV repair for beginners' and maybe that will be of some help. Do you have any ideas? should I follow the tv repair guide from my other post or should I try re soldering that same chip again? All I did when I soldered was tin the tip then apply the hot tip to the joint (I didn't add any more solder). The joint was so tiny it was hard to maneuver in there. |

Yeah, I'd go through and add more solder (just a little). I tend to go around and retouch every joint within 3 inches of that chip if I can't seem to find the one that matters. That usually takes care of it.
If that still doesnt take care of it, you may be facing a broken circuit trace. You can troubleshoot that by flexing the board slightly until you can located it. |
