I am having an issue with our tv just wondering if its worth trying to fix or not. Tv is about 6-7 yrs old.

1. Make & Model Number: Toshiba 43HX71

2. Current symptoms: first turned on and shut off within 1-2 minutes now, turns on (only if you unplug it) with no picture just sound and turns off if you try a adjust anything or shuts off on its own within a few minutes and then the "on" light blinks

3. Any symptoms that led up to the current symptom: Awhile ago the picture would get funky but that went away. The day this happend a big thunder storm went thru maybe a power surge did this??

4. Location: Somers CT
