Toshiba Regza 32' TV
Model: 32hl66
https://www.cnet.com/products/toshiba-32hl66/specs/

TV dropped and stomped on. Someone gave me the broken tv.
Screen cracked and minor cosmetic damage.
When I cut it on, the power light is a orange light that blinks then turns blue then the screen comes on. The uncracked area is blue then a second later the screen turns black but power is still on.
Power is working, opened tv and no visible damage. Speakers are ok.
I am trying to check if there is any other damage before I spend money on screen replacement.
What is the process of checking a tv to see if there are any other problems? Why does the screen go black? Is it a damaged back light that makes it do that?. I would think if the screen was only damaged it would stay blue..

I do general computer repair and building but I don't have a multimeter or solder

Thanks in advance for the suggestion guys Mr. Green

With your screen having been cracked, That's going to cost far more than it's worth to repair. Only thing you can do is take the circuitboards out and sell them.
