First off, let me say thanks for the time and sorry if this question has been asked already, but the solutions I've been seeing haven't worked. I have a Vizio E3D420VX and it's around two years old. One day I pressed power and nothing worked. So far I've tried:

- different power sources/using no surge protector
- held power key down for a while/tried unplugging tv for a while
- replaced power cord
- searched for bad capacitors on the power board
- completely replaced the power board

After all this it still has no power, not even the LED light on the front. Any more input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

As you can see, Vizio may use a few different supplies (and Main boards) in this set.

Which PS and Main board does YOUR particular version use?

Oh I forgot to add that, the main board is a 3642-1512-0150

http://www.shopjimmy.com/vizio-3642-1512-0150-main-board-for-e3d420vx.htm

and the power board is 0500-0412-1380

I assumed it was like a computer in the aspect that I would at least see the computer respond in some way before it even got to the main board, if that makes any sense.

CN201 On Power Supply - Pin 1 = black dot

Is pin 12 (or 13)(or 14) 5.2 Volts all the time the set is plugged in?

Pin 3 (or 4) ON/OFF - Changes as power button is pressed? & changes back when power button is pressed a second time? (example: 0V then 3.3V)

IF On/Off behaves as indicated, does 12 Volts Pin 5 (or 6)(or 7) change along with it?
