Ken, Make sure you change F mode from 0 to 1 and get to the factory
adjustments and go to 24 for the Red cut off , 25 for the Green cut off, and
26 for the Blue cut off.And make sure that 00 F mode returns Back to 0 after
you set it to 1 for adjustments. And the 06 AC on back to 0.

Thanks John, that did the trick! Poor old CRT, the blue gun is almost done.
The TAC switch was the source of the Vol down problem. Now for some reason
the TV always powers up with the user menu displayed. Not sure what's
causing that. thanks for the advice!!

You still have the Service menu in Factory Mode 1, change back to 0. That
should fix it.

Ken, Try Resetting the Clock and then Scan or Auto program the channels.
That may get rid of that
Problem.

Thanks, guys, it did just need an autoscan, then it was happy. Seems like
if you then re-enter serviceman mode after an autoscan, you have to rescan
channels again once you exit or the menu pop up returns.
